| Notes | This open mic runs as a recording-style session, aimed at professional and semi-professional vocalists. It’s also a great opportunity for newer and younger singers who are ready to step up and build confidence in a more performance-focused setting. All performances are recorded with a view for potential radio airplay, so acts should be well prepared and ideally suited for broadcast.
We welcome singers performing with backing tracks or a single accompanying instrument. Due to time limits and the recording format, full bands and extended acoustic sets are not suitable. We have two Shure SM58 microphones, and most instruments can be plugged straight into our sound desk. Backing tracks can be played from a laptop, tablet, or phone, and we also have an iPad available. Please keep the room quiet during performances. Selected recordings may be featured on The Sunday Sessions on Phoenix 98FM the following Sunday between 10am and 12pm. |
