Fresh off the back of our successful first event, we are pleased to announce this will now be a regular phenomenon
The Shoulder opens at 6pm and sets will start at 8.30pm so you can get down there early to get the beers in.
The Shoulder is a Traditional Setting serving good food and wine and a selection of real ales.
So why not come and support us!

Obviously it varies from venue to venue, but here’s the way we’ll be doing it – Come and give me your name if you want to perform....first come, first served- and it looks like being busy ! I’ll kick the night off between 8.00 and 9.00pm, depending on how many performers are already lined up. I’ll aim to give everyone time for three songs, but if we’re struggling to fit everyone in, later acts may only get two !
Solo and duos are welcome, but we can’t accommodate more than two instruments and two vocalists at once. A house guitar will be available to borrow. If you bring your own instrument, please tune up BEFORE you get in front of the mic......the whole evening tends to lose its momentum if we have to watch/listen to too many people tuning up ! The general idea is to turn the acts around as
quickly as possible and keep the music flowing!
It’s all about having fun, and providing a supportive, nurturing environment for performers whatever their level of skill/experience.
Appreciative, supportive audience participation is welcomed, and there’ll be a few percussion toys kicking around so you can join in, but please do respect the wishes of any acts who prefer to perform without accompaniment!
